Looking Back at 2025 and What to Expect at BalticNOG 2026
After an unforgettable debut in Vilnius, the Baltic network operator community is taking its next big step. BalticNOG 2026 will take place on September 23-24, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel in Riga, Latvia.
With over 400 network engineers, operators, researchers, and decision-makers expected from across the Baltic States, Nordics, and Central Europe, this is shaping up to be our largest and most impactful gathering yet.
A Quick Look Back at BalticNOG 2025
Our inaugural event at LITEXPO in Vilnius set a high bar for what a regional NOG can achieve. More than 200 participants gathered to exchange hard-learned operational experience, featuring key highlights:
Keynote Insights: Geoff Huston opened the event with “Networking in the Dark,” challenging assumptions about internet behavior at scale.
Deep Technical Tracks: High-engagement sessions tackled practical BGP FlowSpec pitfalls, real-world Segment Routing (SR-TE) deployment, network automation frameworks, and cross-border infrastructure compliance.
Unmatched Networking: Connections forged during the day carried over into the evening at the iconic Lukiškės Prison 2.0, setting a new standard for community camaraderie.
What’s New for BalticNOG 2026 in Riga?
We are bringing the same vendor-neutral, highly technical focus to Riga, but expanding the scope:
The Venue: Radisson Blu Latvija in the heart of Riga, equipped with world-class facilities for our main presentations and interactive tracks.

Evening Social at Tallinas kvartāls: On the night of Day 1, we’ll move the conversation to one of Riga’s most vibrant creative districts for great food, drinks, and casual networking.
Introducing “Skunk Works”: A new, community-driven session format designed for 15-minute, fast-paced discussions around real operational headaches and collaborative problem-solving.
Getting to Riga & Exploring the City
