BalticNOG 2026: The Baltic Internet Community Moves to Riga
After an inspiring and successful gathering in Vilnius, the Baltic internet community is ready for the next chapter. BalticNOG 2026 will take place on September 23–24, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel in Riga, Latvia. The event will welcome more than 400 network professionals, engineers, and decision-makers from across the Baltic States, Scandinavia, and Central Europe.
BalticNOG continues its mission to strengthen regional collaboration through open discussion and shared technical experience. It remains a trusted space where operators, technologists, and researchers connect to exchange knowledge and build a more resilient Internet.
BalticNOG 2025: A Strong Year for Collaboration
The 2025 event, held on September 24–25 at LITEXPO in Vilnius, demonstrated the significant growth of the Baltic network community. During two productive days, participants explored IPv6 adoption, routing security, automation, and interconnection strategies.

Geoff Huston, one of the world’s leading Internet researchers, delivered a keynote that inspired lively debate and new ideas. Beyond the presentations, BalticNOG 2025 achieved its aim: to connect people and ideas. Engineers, telcos, academics, and policymakers met to share experiences and form lasting partnerships.
The Community Grows Beyond Borders
BalticNOG 2025 reaffirmed the event’s role as a bridge between the Baltic States and the wider European network community. Operators, IXPs, universities, and technology companies came together to discuss best practices and regional collaboration.

The cooperation now extends well beyond Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. More peers from the Nordics and Central Europe are joining the discussion, sharing insights, and contributing to the strengthening of the regional Internet. This growing momentum now leads to Riga.
Riga 2026: Expanding the Conversation
The next chapter of BalticNOG will unfold in Riga at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel. The two-day program will combine technical sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to advance Internet operations across the Baltics.
Key topics include:
- Routing security and BGP resilience
- IPv6 deployment and transition strategies
- Network automation and AI in operations
- DDoS mitigation and cybersecurity trends
- Cloud networking, IXPs, and regional interconnection
- Regulatory and policy developments
New for 2026, BalticNOG will introduce Skunk Works, a community-driven format for tackling real operational challenges in short, focused conversations. The aim is to spark collaboration, surface practical ideas, and connect peers facing similar issues.
BalticNOG 2026 will once again unite professionals from every part of the Internet ecosystem, including telcos, cloud providers, researchers, policymakers, and engineers. Together, they will explore practical solutions for the challenges shaping the Internet’s future.
