Call for Programme Committee Volunteers

The Baltic Network Operators Group (BalticNOG) Organising Committee is pleased to announce that BalticNOG 2026 will take place on 23–24 September 2026 in Rīga, Latvia.
We are now inviting members of the community to volunteer to serve on the BalticNOG 2026 Programme Committee (PC). The Programme Committee plays a key role in shaping the technical and community-driven content of the conference by reviewing submissions and helping build a high-quality, balanced programme.

Who Should Apply

We are looking for individuals who:
Have experience or strong interest in network operations, Internet infrastructure, security, peering, routing, cloud, or related operational topics

  • Are familiar with the NOG community and conference format
  • Are willing to actively participate in the review process and programme discussions
  • Can contribute constructive feedback and technical judgement
  • Are able and willing to attend the event in person in Rīga, which is considered a strong advantage, though not a strict requirement

Prior experience serving on a programme committee is welcome but not required. We aim to form a diverse PC with a broad range of technical backgrounds, perspectives, and experience levels.

Role and Expectations

Programme Committee members are expected to:

  • Review and evaluate submitted proposals for relevance, quality, and clarity
  • Participate in programme discussions and decision-making
  • Help ensure a fair, transparent, and community-focused selection process
  • Contribute within their areas of expertise, while being open to reviewing submissions outside their core domain when possible

Most coordination will take place remotely. Active engagement during the review period is essential; consistent participation is expected throughout the process.
