About the Speaker
Dmitry Kohmanyuk is a Ukrainian internet expert and entrepreneur. He graduated from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University in 1992 with a master’s in cybernetics. Kohmanyuk has been actively involved in internet governance and domain management since the 1990s. He co-founded Hostmaster Ltd., the registry for Ukraine. UA domain, and serves as its Chief of Strategy. He now resides in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Throughout his career, he has worked with various technology startups in the United States and has experience in Unix systems administration, network operations, and software development. He has also contributed to developing the internet infrastructure in Ukraine, including IPv6 and DNSSEC implementation. He actively participates in the Internet community, attending and speaking at European and international forums, including RIPE, ICANN, DomainPulse, and other meetings.
Beyond his technical work, Kohmanyuk is a travel enthusiast and freelance photographer. He is working on his first novel, inspired by his travel experiences.
