About the Speaker
Michael Takeuchi is a network and security consultant based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is the Chief Technology and Operating Officer at RAPIDNET, overseeing technical operations and infrastructure development for a growing ISP and system integrator. He is also the Deputy Chief for IIX & Data Center at APJII (the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association), contributing to national efforts to improve interconnection and encourage collaboration among Internet stakeholders.
With a background rooted in hands-on engineering, Michael focuses on practical solutions to everyday challenges faced by smaller ISPs. His areas of interest include BGP routing, traffic engineering, Internet Exchange Point operations, and network design. He believes in strengthening the Internet ecosystem through cooperation, simplicity, and real-world efficiency.
